Carol Gerstenberger and Carleen Curry

Foster Grandparents - Caro

In a quaint coffee house in downtown Caro; the Foster Grandparents (FGP) gathered for an evening of celebration and recognition. Harvest Your Craft was the perfect setting for a relaxed drop-in recognition event complete with a delicious homemade meal and dedicant coffee. This recognition event was the first in-person event since 2019; making it extra special.
Foster Grandma Carol Gerstenberger and Foster Grandma Carleen Curry were presented special tributes for their 10 years of service by Quintin Groce; Regional Director for the U.S. Senator Gary Peters. This was a great honor to recognize the outstanding service that Carol and Carleen have provided to countless young students for the past 10 years.
Each volunteer received a certificate of recognition for their years of service and a flower beautiful flower to grow at home. Volunteers reaching milestone years were given special tributes signed by State Senator Kevin Daley, State Representative Phil Green, Michigan State Senator Dan Lauwers, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, U.S. Senator Gary Peters and Congresswoman Lisa McLain.
We were honored to have such an amazing showing of support to our volunteers.
