Cards of Kindness

Charlotte Davis

Foster Grandparents - Wexford County

Foster Grandparent Volunteer Char who serves at Lincoln Elementary in Cadillac continues to spread kindness to students even with Covid-19 keeping volunteers apart from school. Char made encouraging cards to uplift, share smiles and encourage students this year. She decorated cards with drawings and positive messages. Those cards were given to her school and the Social Worker made sure to pass them out to students throughout their school. Char cares deeply for the children at the school she has been serving at since 2011. Char started as a Foster Grandparent in 2008 and is devoted to helping children in her community.

Char has helped bring some joy to students while serving from home! Char even went above and beyond to make some encouragement cards for staff at Lincoln Elementary. She knew that staff has had a difficult year as well and could use a smile and know how they are appreciated. Currently Char is also working on birthday cards for students at the school. We love our partnership with Lincoln Elementary! Char is spreading joy, smiles and support to students even with Covid-19 changing the way she serves this year.
