Foster Grandparents Helping Operation Christmas Child

Foster Grandparents - Escanaba Foster Grandparent Program

Schoolcraft County Foster Grandparent Program is shown with the 8 shoe boxes they packed as part of the 2014 Operation Christmas Child campaign. The International effort collects shoe boxes filled with school supplies, health items and toys for children in need around the world. This year the Foster Grandparents brought their boxes to the Lagasco Building in Manistique who served as the collection center. Organizers say it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of many people in Schoolcraft County and all around the Upper Peninsula, including groups like the Foster Grandparents, as well as the Scouts, schoolchildren, service clubs, church volunteers and countless individuals who contributed.
