Senior Companions - Flint

We recently received a letter from the daughter of one of our aging volunteers. Dorothy, had spent the last 17 years as a Senior Companion. In her quiet, sweet and humble way. She worked with severly disabled adults and loved each and everyone of them. I just wanted to share a few pieces of her daughters letter. "I want to thank you and the entire Senior Companion Program for being so nice to my Mom. Being apart of your program meant the world to her. My siblings and I are so grateful that mother had the chance to share the love that we have experienced our whole lives. Mother has been a volunteer since Dec. 1994 and probably would have still been if illness had not stricken her body. Thank you so much for giving mother the opportunity to do what she loved doing and that is helping others. Keep on doing what you do because it really matters.
