Rosie has been apart of the Clare/Isabella/Gratiot Foster Grandparent Program for 12 years. She is a Foster Grandparent at Weidman Elementary and she is also “Granny” to the Gross Family for 9 years. To Mrs. Gross, Rosie is someone that will listen and act as a support group for her. The children look forward to the day that“Granny” comes over to read to them. Rosie goes to many of the families events like T-ball games, school concerts, and was there when the Gross family adopted their foster children. The Gross family feels lucky to have Rosie in all of their lives. There is no doubt that Rosie has become a permanent part of the Gross Family. Rosie is a great role model and believes that she is helping other by “leading by example”. Now at the age of 81, she is still serving as a Foster Grandparent touching the lives of many others in her community.
